During a reiki session, a practitioner gently places their hands on or above your body to balance its flow of energy. They also slowly move their hands across your body. Supporters of reiki say it can ease stress, anxiety, and the perception of pain.

Reiki is a meditative practice that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, and promotes a positive mental state through gentle touch. While massage is more vigorous and manipulates the muscles, Reiki uses only touch and sometimes merely the proximity of the healer's hands to particular parts of the body, using 12 to 20 prescribed hand positions, depending on the training tradition. Today there is a hybrid treatment, known as Reiki massage.

Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient wholistic technique. Reflexes in the feet directly correspond to glands, organs, systems and parts of the body. Thumb or caterpillar walking, hooking and twisting are ways to work and relax the entire foot. This way body systems can function normally as they are meant to. Reflexology is a practical and non-invasive practice.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying of hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy flows through us and causes us to be alive. If one’s life force energy is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. If our life force energy is high we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
